William A. Brown was born on November 11, 1921. He served in the 476th Bombardment Squadron, 335th Bombardment Group, and was a crew member on the B-26 Marauder #41-34765 at the time of his death. On June 4, 1943, their aircraft crashed into the slopes of Carn Llidi, overlooking Whitesands in Wales, UK, killing all four crew members while on the final stage of a ferry flight to the UK from the United States via South America and Africa. SSgt Brown is now buried in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, USA.
