James Grady Jackson was born on October 24, 1922. He was the son of James Harvey Jackson and Mozelle Blanche Pearson Jackson.
James served in the 476th Bombardment Squadron, 335th Bombardment Group, and was the Co-Pilot of the B-26 Marauder #41-34765 at the time of his death. On June 4, 1943, their aircraft crashed into the slopes of Carn Llidi, overlooking Whitesands in Wales, UK, killing all four crew members while on the final stage of a ferry flight to the UK from the United States via South America and Africa. F/O Jackson is now buried in the Marietta National Cemetery, Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia, USA.
