Robert Eugene Lawrence was born on September 1, 1920. He was married to Regina F Lawrence.
Robert served in the 476th Bombardment Squadron, 335th Bombardment Group, and was the - of the B-26 Marauder #41-34765 at the time of his death. On June 4, 1943, their aircraft crashed into the slopes of Carn Llidi, overlooking Whitesands in Wales, UK, killing all four crew members while on the final stage of a ferry flight to the UK from the United States via South America and Africa. 1Lt Lawrence is now buried in the Long Island National Cemetery, East Farmingdale, Suffolk County, New York, USA.
