Wallace Krueger was born March 10, 1919, on the Eulenfeld farm, Beyersville community, Williamson County, Texas. He was the son of Immanuel A. Krueger and Dora Eulenfeld Krueger. He graduated as a Flight Officer on October 23, 1943, at Big Spring Army Air Field, Big Spring, Texas. He received his High School diploma from the Texas State Department of Education in 1937. In 1939 and 1940, he attended Draughon's Business College in San Antonio, and in August 1940, he went to work as a bookkeeper for Hoff Motor Company in Cotulla, Texas. He was living in Cotulla and working for Hoff Motor Company when he enlisted in the U. S. Army on December 27, 1941, at San Antonio, Texas.

Wallace was an Ordnance man and served at Dodd Field, San Antonio, Texas, Ellington Field, Houston, Texas, Midland Army Air Field, Midland, Texas, and Bowman Field, Louisville, Kentucky. He transferred to the Army Air Corps and, after spending a short time at Nashville, Tennessee, went to Ellington Field, where he received his preliminary training. His advanced training was received at Big Spring Army Air Field, Texas. After graduation, he received additional training at Tucson, Arizona, and Alamogordo, New Mexico. Wallace flew overseas with his crew via Kansas, Florida, Trinidad, Brazil, Africa, and to England where the crew became part of the 8th Air Force. After some training and routine flying in England, the crew began its missions over Western Europe. Eight bombing missions over the continent were completed. The ninth mission on June 4, 1944 (two days before D Day) was not completed.

A bombardier on the airplane, his B-24H #42-95160 took off from England on a bombing mission over Avord, France. For an unknown reason, the plane stalled and spun out of control, and crashed at Garvestone, Norfolk, England.

F/O Krueger, along with all his crew was buried at the US Cemetery at Madingley on June 5, 1944. His remains were later repatriated and he is now buried in the Wallace Krueger Cotulla West Cemetery, La Salle County, Texas, USA.
