Alfred C. Harnagel was born on February 17, 1920. He had entered service in September 1941, and after training, was made an instructor. He then entered the flying school and received his wings in August 1943.
2Lt Harnagel was Killed in Action on April 21, 1944, at the age of 24, in New Romney, England. He was on a practice flight when he was killed. 2Lt Harnagel is now buried in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Lemay, St. Louis County, Missouri, USA.
