Irvin Nicholas Frankart was born on December 28, 1920, in Hancock County, Ohio. He was the son of Nicholas J Frankart and May M Burkett Frankart.

Irvin served in the 325th Glider Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944, at the age of 23, in Blosville, France. He is now buried in the Saint Wendelin Catholic Cemetery, Fostoria, Hancock County, Ohio, USA.
