PFC Andrew Almklov was born on June 22,1901 in Bergen, Norway. He immigrated to the US In 1924 and lived in New York City. He was single and enlisted in the US Army in November 1942. As a Norwegian born soldier, he served in the 99th Infantry Battalion (Separate) (Norwegian). He was killed during the Battle of the Bulge on December 18, 1944 in Malmedy, Belgium. Fellow 99th Infantry Battalion soldier, PFC Movik, is also buried in this same cemetery.
