PFC Movik died on September 17, 1944, in Belgium, at the age of 38, and is now buried in the Solheim Cemetery, Bergen, Bergen Kommune, Hordaland Fylke, Norway. He was killed in battle during the Canal Drive liberation of Belgian Limburg.
