Jerry Bove was born on March 5, 1909, in Avondale, Pennsylvania. He served in the 41st Armored Infantry Regiment, 2nd Armored Division, as a Private First Class during World War II. He participated in the invasions of North Africa and Sicily and also landed at Salerno and Normandy in France. Pfc Bove was Killed in Action on September 17, 1944, in Belgium. Pfc Bove is now buried in the Saint Mary's Cemetery, West Grove, Chester County, Pennsylvania, USA. He was one of the 65 soldiers killed in battle during the liberation of the Limburg region of the Netherlands and Belgium.
