Charles Reed Wallace was born on May 16, 1911, in Blackford County, Indiana. He was the son of Vernon Walter Wallace and Maude R Rhinehart Wallace. He was married to Marilda Eileen Roberds Wallace.
Wallace was graduated from Eaton High School, 1929. Prior to the military, he worked at Delco-Remy plant in Anderson, Indiana. He entered the military on April 10, 1944, and was trained at Camp Joseph T Robinson, Arkansas. He served in Company B, 23rd Armored Infantry Battalion, 7th Armored Division, as a Private.
Pvt Wallace was Killed in Action on November 7, 1944, at the age of 33, in the vicinity of Horik and Ospel, Netherlands. He is now buried in the Elizabethtown Cemetery, Washington Township, Delaware County, Indiana, USA.
