Harry Q. Richards was born on February 12, 1919. He was a graduate of Monroe High School. He was employed by The Democrat and Chronicle advertising department in March 1942.
Pfc Richards was assigned as Truck Driver, Light (Military Occupation Specialty 345) in Troop B, 87th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron (Mechanized), 7th Armored Division during World War II. He was Killed in Action on November 4, 1944, on the Waatskamp road, near Ospel, Netherlands, and is now buried in the Saint Agnes Cemetery, Utica, Oneida County, New York, USA.
