Woodrow D. Andrus was born on 28 December 1915. He was the son of Hattie G Messinger Andrus.
Woodrow served in Company B, 23rd Armored Infantry Battalion, 7th Armored Division, as a Private and Rifleman (Military Occupational Specialty 745) during World War II. He died on 10 November 1944, in the 48th Field Hospital, of wounds he suffered on 7 November in the vicinity of Ospel, Netherlands (1 mi SE of VK 6303).
Pvt Andrus is now buried in the Woodbine Cemetery, Puyallup, Pierce County, Washington, USA.
