Clemens Arthur Fiedler was born on December 18, 1919, in Texas. He served in the 335th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, as a First Lieutenant during World War II.
On April 10, 1944, he took off from Station 356 airfield in Debden, England, on an airfield attack mission in Romorantin, France. His aircraft was struck by flak while strafing Romarantin Airdrome.
