Thomas Samuel Upton was born on December 8, 1921. He was the son of Joe Sephus Upton and husband of Mildred Lucille Francis Dixon. Thomas served in the 552nd Bomber Squadron, 386th Bomber Group, Medium as a Staff Sergeant and Waist Gunner of a B-26 aircraft during World War II. He died on January 14, 1944, at the age of 22, and is now buried in the Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, USA.
