Perry J. Reed was born on August 2, 1923, in Rutherford, New Jersey, to Melvin Cleo Reed and Grace Azella Kelsey Reed. He served in the 294th Engineer Combat Battalion as a Sergeant during World War II. He was Killed in Action on September 19, 1944, at the age of 21, in Germany. SGT Reed is now buried in the Mountain View Cemetery, Claremont, Sullivan County, New Hampshire, USA.
