42nd President of the United States from 1993 to 2001. Born August 19, 1946, he is an alumnus of Georgetown University where he was Phi Beta Kappa and earned a Rhodes Scholarship to attend the University of Oxford. After Oxford, Clinton attended Yale Law School and earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in 1973. After graduating from Yale Law School, Clinton returned to Arkansas and became a law professor at the University of Arkansas. Clinton was elected Arkansas Attorney General in 1976. Clinton was elected Governor of Arkansas in 1978. Clinton was elected president in 1992, defeating incumbent president George H.W. Bush.
