Alvin A. Boatwright was born on December 10, 1977. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 70th Armor Regiment, 170th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Baumholder, Germany. He died on June 18, 2011, at the age of 33, in Uruzgan province, Afghanistan of injuries suffered during a vehicle roll-over. He is now buried in the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery, Williams, Colleton County, South Carolina, USA.
