Lane A. Ferrara was born on November 7, 1923 in New York. He resided in Kenmore, Erie County, New York prior to the war. A graduate of McKinley High School, Buffalo, he also attended the University of Buffalo. He enlisted in the Army on January 18, 1943 in Buffalo, New York. He was noted as being Single, without dependents. Lane served as a Second Lieutenant and Pilot on P-38J #42-67199, 8th Air Force, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was killed when his plane crashed in England while based at Goxhill. He is now buried in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kenmore, Erie County, New York, USA.
