Sidney E. Dye was born on April 11, 1925. He was the son of Roy Edward Dye and Ida Bell Dye. He served in the 357th Infantry Regiment, 90th Infantry Division as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on January 11, 1945, at the age of 19, during the liberation of Sonlez, Luxembourg. PVT Dye is now buried in the Knollkreg Memorial Park, Abingdon, Washington County, Virginia, USA.
