Frank J. Rutkowski was born in 1920 in Maryland. He enlisted in the Army on November 13, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was noted as being employed as a Sales Clerk and also as Single, without dependents. Frank served as a Technician Fifth Grade, 11th Infantry Regiment, 5th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. He died on January 24, 1945 and is now buried in the Luxembourg American Cemetery, Luxembourg. He was one of the 38 American soldiers killed during the fierce fighting at sub-zero temperatures to recapture the town of Hoscheid, Luxembourg.
