Harold E. Scott was the son of Earl H. Scott and Elizabeth S. Dorr Scott. He entered the military service in Kansas and served in the 381st Fighter Squadron, 363rd Fighter Group as a Second Lieutenant during World War II. He was the Pilot of the P-51 B-5 #43-6446 which took off from station 413 in Staplehurst, England and was shot down by flak at 1010h, south of St. Lo, France, on a dive bombing mission. 2LT Scott is buried now in the Brittany American Cemetery, Montjoie Saint Martin, France.
