Joel Monroe DeVolentine was born on February 1, 1917. He enlisted in the military on June 1, 1941. He was with the 7100 Headquarters Command Wing as a Captain during the Berlin Airlift. CPT DeVolentine died on July 24, 1948, at the age of 31, in a collision with another C-47. He is buried now in the Woodlawn Park North Cemetery and Mausoleum, Miami, Miami-Dade County, Florida, USA.
