Joseph F. Pierce, the husband of Irma Castellani, was born on October 30, 1921, son of Frazier Pierce and Zuby Klutts Pierce. He graduated from Burrows High School and attended ECSTA, Ada. Joseph entered the Air Corps in December 1941 and trained in March Field, Santa Ana, King City, Gardner Field, Santa Rosa, Orville, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Tonopah, NV, Casper WY. Joseph went overseas in Nov 1943, had served in England, France, Germany, where he participated in 40 missions. 1Lt Pierce was Killed in Action on May 21, 1944, at the age of 22 and now is buried in the Marlow Cemetery, Marlow, Stephens County, Oklahoma, USA.
