William Talmadge Redmond was born on June 23, 1923. He was the son of William Pervin Redmond and Janie Lee Milford Redmond. He was graduated from Five Points High School and was employed by the Lanett Bleachery and Dye Works before entering the service on October 17, 1942. William served in the European Theater with the 34th Bomber Squadron, 17th Bomber Group and was Killed in Action over Germany on April 2, 1945 after completing 14 missions. He is now buried in the Epinal American Cemetery, Dinozé, France. He also has a cenotaph located in Five Points Belcher Cemetery, Chambers County, Alabama.
