Bonnell Harold Stone, Jr. was born in 1916. He was the son of Bonnell Harold and Edna Ausland Stone. Bonnell, Jr. served in the 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment as a First Lieutenant during World War II. He was declared Missing in Action on February 19, 1945 during the battle for the recapture of Corregidor, Philippines against the defending Japanese garrison on the island. His name is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. He also has a cenotaph located in Oxford Historical Cemetery, Oxford, Newton County, Georgia.
