Roy Edward Marston was born on February 2, 1920 in Kansas. He was the son of Earl Monroe Marston and Gladys Louise Martin Marston. Roy served in the 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment as a Private First Class during World War II. He died on February 24, 1945 at the age of 25, during the battle for the recapture of Corregidor, Philippines against the defending Japanese garrison on the island and is now buried in the McFarland Cemetery, McFarland, Wabaunsee County, Kansas, USA.
