Joseph F. Foley, Jr. was born in 1921 in New York. He was the son of Joseph F. and Sarah A. Foley. Joseph served in the 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment as a Corporal during World War II. He was Killed in Action on February 19, 1945 during the battle for the recapture of Corregidor, Philippines against the defending Japanese garrison on the island and is now buried in the Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, Queens County, New York, USA.
