Maxwell Case, Jr. was born on July 4, 1914 in District of Columbia. He resided in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania prior to the war. Maxwell enlisted in the Army on April 29, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as an inspectors and as being Married. He served as a Corporal, HHC, 503rd Parachute Infantry, U.S. Army during World War II. He was Killed in Action on February 26, 1945 at the age of 30, as an intelligence scout during the battle for the recapture of Corregidor, Philippines against the defending Japanese garrison on the island. He is now buried in the Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
