Leon O. Beasley was born on August 26, 1914 in Kentucky. He served in the 503rd Parachute Infantry Regiment as a Private First Class during World War II. He jumped onto Corregidor (Field B – the Golf Course) in the Philippines on 16 February 1945. PFC Beasley died of wounds on incurred that first day, 16 February 1945 on Corregidor. He is now buried in the Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
