Irvin William Culler was born on August 22, 1925 in Washington County, Maryland. He was the son of Lloyd Victor Culler and Goldie Elizabeth Irvin Culler. Irvin was inducted in 1943 and served with the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division as a Private during World War II. He was declared missing on September 24, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands. He was one of the brave American paratroopers who liberated the village of Eerde, The Netherlands from German forces in September 1944.
