Orven Earl Frisby was born on August 31, 1923 in Ohio. He was the son of Frank Daniel Frisby and Aleta Laura Jestice Frisby. He served in the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airbone Division as a Private during World War II. PVT Frisby died from his wounds received in battle on September 28, 1944 and is now buried in the Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands. He was one of the brave American paratroopers of the 501st Inf who liberated the village of Eerde, The Netherlands from German forces.
