George N. Efstathiou was born on July 5, 1921. He enlisted in the Army on March 16, 1942 in Newark, New Jersey. George was a volunteer with ties to Greece that assisted the OSS Greek Operational group in 1944 as they aided the Greek armed resistance in their fight against the occupying and then withdrawing German Army. He died on August 3, 1989 at the age of 68 and is now buried in the Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, Brevard County, Florida, USA.
