James H. Andros was born on May 14, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the OSS in North Africa, Greece, Yugoslavia, Italy, France and Germany. Andros participated in numerous operations including Operation Staircase in Greece, in which the Corinth Canal bridge and railroad were destroyed.After the war, Andros owned and operated several service stations in Chicago. His first wife, Eleanor, died in 1981 and in 1984 he married Katina Askouni of Ventura. Andros retired in 1986, and they moved to Ventura. He died on December 18, 1997 at the age of 75 and is now buried in the Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura, Ventura County, California, USA.
