Pilot of the Spitfire s/n JK602 WD that took off from Calvi, Corsica at 10:05 am on 27 Jan 44 to do a sweep of the aerodrome in Luc Le Canet/La Grande Bastide (83). Hit in aerial comabet over Pierrefeu du Var and crashed SE of the Islands of Hyeres at 1100. Listed as Missing in Action.
