Millard F. Hatfield was born on July 8, 1925. He entered the military service in West Virginia and served in the US Air Corps as a Private and food dropper in an aircraft during World War II. Millard died on September 1, 1944 at the age of 19 and is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945.
