Floyd L. Burke was born on April 4, 1920. He served in the Air Corps as a Technical Sergeant. Floyd was killed in an air incident during World War II in Kalaikunda, India and is now buried in the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, San Mateo County, California, USA. He was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
