Robert Ager, aged, 23, was born on December 21, 1921 in Racine, Racine County, Wisconsin and attended Franklin and Washington Park high schools. He was employed by Rainfair, Inc., when he joined the service. Robert was killed in action on February 14, 1945 in Myanmar (formerly Burma), while serving as a Radio Operator with the 2nd Troop Carrier Squadron. He is now buried in the Graceland Cemetery, Racine, Racine County, Wisconsin, USA. He served as an aviator in WWII and was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
