Albert O. Ades was born on August 5, 1920 in McLean County, Illinois. He served as a Second Lieutenant and Navigator on the B-24J #42-73305 'Rose of Juarez', 308th Bomb Group, 375th Bomb Squadron, crashed at the end of the runway at Chengkung upon takeoff on a bombing mission 13 July 1944 during World War II. He is now buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, USA. Albert was one of over 2000 Americans who lost their lives defending China from their Japanese invaders from 1941-1945. He is commemorated on the The Monument to the Aviation Martyrs in the War of Resistance Against Japan in Nanjing, China.
