Rene Lucien Brierre was born in 1880 in Chartres, France. He was naturalized as a US citizen in 1918. Rene served in the US Army during World War I. He died in the American Hospital in Neuilly in 1961 and is buried in the American Legion Mausoleum just west of Paris.
