Dale Elton Bloomfield was born on November 19, 1921 in Kamilche, Mason County, Washington. He was the son of Charles James Bloomfield and Myrtle Chrystella Gingrich Bloomfield. Dale served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on January 18, 1945 in Belgium at the age of 23 and is now buried in Shelton Memorial Park, Shelton, Mason County, Washington, USA.
