Joseph P. Geraci was born in 1923 in New York. He enlisted in the Army on January 25, 1943 in Rochester, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a lens grinders and/or polisher with the Bausch & Lomb Company and also as Single, without dependents. Joseph served as a Private First Class in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II. He resided in New York prior to the war. He was Killed in Action on November 17, 1944 in the Battle of Hürtgen Forest, Germany and is now buried in Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial, Margraten, Eijsden-Margraten Municipality, Limburg, Netherlands.
