John W. Adams was born on February 27, 1913 in Coddington, Portage County, Wisconsin. He was the son of Fred D. Adams and Mabel Prusia Adams. He was employed for seven years in the Alemite prior to entering the service. John served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on November 18, 1944 in Germany at the age of 31 and is now buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington, Cook County, Illinois, USA.
