Calvin Clayton Cannon was born on April 7, 1917. He was the son of Clayton Lurine Cannon and Laura Christina Krintz Cannon. Calvin served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in the 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on June 6, 1944 during the invasion on Omaha Beach, France at the age of 27 and is now buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, Frederick County, Maryland, USA.
