Jesse Monroe Pryor was born on September 22, 1895. He was the son of Comenius Pryor and Josephine Conrad Pryor. He entered the military service in Maryland and served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 101st Ammunition Train, 26th Infantry Division. He died on August 7, 1918 and is now buried in Aisne-Marne American Cem., Belleau, France. He also has a cenotaph located in Germantown Bethel Cemetery, Cascade, Frederick County, Maryland, USA.
