Lester Joseph Rauch was born on November 28, 1892 in Erie, Erie County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Tillman T. Rauch and Virginia Ann Cox Rauch. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company C, 101st Field Signal Battalion, 26th Infantry Division. He died on October 21, 1918 in France at the age of 25 and is now buried in Muncy Cemetery, Muncy, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, USA.
