Edward Rieker Wilson was born on July 21, 1894 in Defiance, Defiance County, Ohio. He was the son of Otis Augustus Wilson and Ellen Elizabeth Rieker Wilson. He enlisted in the Massachusetts National Guard on May 6, 1917. He was assigned to Company E, 1st Engineers, 26th Division and was deployed overseas on September 26, 1917. He was Killed in Action on c near Bouconville, northwest of Toul, France at the age of 23 and is now buried in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA.
