Frank W. Shaw was born in North Fryeburg, Oxford County, Maine. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 101st Engineer Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. He died from his wounds received in battle in 1918 in France but his current burial place is unknown.
