Earl A. Covey was born on December 4, 1895 in Maine. He was the son of Adelbert C. Covey and Viola A. Smith Covey. He entered the military service in New Hampshire and served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in the 101st Engineer Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. He died on July 18, 1918 and is now buried in Aisne-Marne American Cem., Belleau, France. He also has a cenotaph located in Rochester Cemetery, Rochester, Strafford County, New Hampshire, USA.
