Cecil R. Cole was born on May 24, 1896. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company E, 101st Engineer Regiment, 26th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on July 18, 1918 in Chateau-Thierry, France at the age of 22 and is now buried in Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, Piscataquis County, Maine, USA.
