David Johns was born on January 17, 1874. He was already a member of the NH National Guard when called to service as a Private in Co. B, 103rd Machine Gun Battalion. Between 16 Apr 1918-30 Aug 1918 he was shipped to Europe aboard the ship Cedric. He died on July 18, 1918 in France at the age of 44 and is now buried in Aisne-Marne American Cem., Belleau, France.
